Chapter 510 

Cynthia stopped crying, tears 

ill clinging to her eyelashes, looking pitiful. She gazed at Liam in front of her, blinked a couple of times, and tried to recall his words. 

It did seem like he said that when she first saw Isabella at the bortler, she had never thought the other woman had children. Thinking like this, Cynthia finally understood. 

Liam breathed a sigh of relief, carrying the woman into the bathroom. He soaked a cloth in hot water, intending to wash Cynthia’s face, but she had already leaned in voluntarily, 

Looking at the face covered in tear stains before him, Liam felt his heart soften. He seemed to forget about washing Cynthia’s face and couldn’t resist leaning down to gently kiss her on the lips. 

Since Cynthia got pregnant, Liam had refrained from having sex, fearing he might harm her or the babies. For a virile man, this was a considerable challenge. 

Every night, as he held Cynthia in his arms while sleeping, Liam involuntarily indulged in fantasies. Seeing the compliant way in which Cynthia leaned over, he couldn’t hold back any longer. 

Liam started with gentle movements, but as the kisses deepened, they turned more intense. Step by step, he pressed Cynthia against the wall, every muscle in his body taut. 

Feeling his strength, Cynthia suddenly felt nervous. She understood Liam’s current state and didn’t object. 

After all, she was in her mid–pregnancy, and the baby in her belly was fine. As long as Liam’s actions weren’t too aggressive, everything would be all right. 

Cynthia protected her belly while responding to Liam. She felt his hot palms lingering on her body, creating ripples of sensations, sometimes light, sometimes heavy. 

Just as Cynthia was biting her lips, the man stopped. Liam breathed heavily, his forehead touching Cynthia’s. She could feel the warmth of his breath. 

Cynthia knew what he was concerned about. She could still sense how much Liam cared for her during this time, so she didn’t want him to have to endure in these aspects. 

After some internal struggle and feeling a bit embarrassed, she hesitantly spoke, “Darling, it’s actually okay. Just be gentle later.” 

Liam had been using his last bit of self–control, but upon hearing Cynthia’s seemingly inviting words, he felt like something exploded in his mind. After much internal conflict, he ultimately couldn’t bring himself to act, but he didn’t leave Cynthia hanging. 

It wasn’t until midnight that Cynthia’s hands almost cramped before she could finally get back to bed to rest. As she lay in bed, her hands would twitch occasionally. 

Liam, finally fulfilled after months of waiting, came out of the bathroom contented. Cynthia glared at him resentfully, silently complaining to herself. Liam appeared proper on the outside, but no one knew what he was thinking inside; he was the epitome of a high–level introvert. 

In a good mood, Liam seemed to overlook Cynthia’s resentful gaze, simply pulling her into his arms when getting into bed, gently massaging her hand. Already prone to drowsiness after getting pregnant, and tired after tonight’s events, Cynthia soon drifted off to sleep.- 

Cynthia woke up later than usual the next day. When she opened her eyes, she saw Liam sitting next to her, looking at his laptop.

Chapter 510 

As soon as he noticed she was awake, he immediately set the computer aside and asked with concern, “Are you awakel Are you feeling unwell anywhere?“ 

Normally, Liam would be in the study at this time, but today he was worried. After Cynthia had spent so much time with him last night, and he had made some overly demanding requests during the process, he felt pleased at the time but still felt unsettled afterwards. 

Liam scrutinized Cynthia, making the just–awakened Cynthia a bit embarrassed. To escape the man’s gaze and also feeling hungry now, she wanted to go downstairs to find something to eat. Just as she was about to move, she felt something peculiar in her belly, startling her into freezing. 

“Cynthia, what’s wrong?” Liam, seeing Cynthia’s expression, was scared out of his wits. 

“Are you feeling unwell anywhere? I’ll take you to the hospital.” Without waiting for Cynthia’s response, he quickly got out of bed. 

“No need.” Cynthia quickly stopped him. 

The odd sensation in her stomach was just a momentary thing, and it wasn’t painful; it felt more–like fetal movement. Cynthia suddenly realized what it was. Although she was a doctor and knew the ins and outs of pregnancy, this was still her first time being pregnant, so she hadn’t reacted to some novel feelings at once. 

She tried to move again, and this time, the movements in her belly were more pronounced. 

The sensation was so incredibly miraculous that Cynthia felt excited. She stroked her belly, feeling the slight movements within. It seemed like the little ones inside knew their mother was interacting with them, so they kept moving non–stop. 

“Honey, I just felt the babies kick.” Cynthia quickly told Liam and beckoned him over. “The babies are still moving, come and feel.” 

Relieved that Cynthia wasn’t unwell, Liam sighed. Hearing Cynthia invite him to feel her belly, he suddenly felt nervous. 

It was strange because even facing the country’s top leaders, he could handle it with ease, but now facing the fetuses of a few months, his heartbeat accelerated nervously. He took a deep breath and gently placed his hand on Cynthia’s belly. 

Strangely enough, the previously lively babies suddenly became still. After a while of feeling around, Liam could only sheepishly retract his hand. 

Finding it strange, Cynthia reached out to feel for herself, and the babies inside immediately started moving again. Cynthia then put Liam’s hand on her belly again, but the babies immediately stopped moving. 

After several attempts, Cynthia had to accept the reality; she looked at Liam with a wry smile. “Honey, the baby seems not to like your touch.” 

After a couple of these instances, Liam lost his temper. Pointing his index finger at Cynthia’s belly, he sternly scolded, “Both of you inside, behave for me and don’t trouble your mother. If you give her a hard time, I will discipline you when you 

come out.”
