“What role do you want me to play by your side?” Cynthia, though a bit shy, hadn’t forgotten the purpose of her visit today 

“What do you want?” Liam countered. 

1 need a marriage,” said Cynthia as she watched him anxiously for his reaction. 

Truth be told, she didn’t have much confidence. The only reason she was here was that he was her first man and, with his high social status, marrying him would not only thwart Mason’s other intentions but would also allow her to reclaim her shares. 

Liam’s gaze paused as he observed Cynthia biting her lip, standing there rigidly, her perfect figure not to be disguised even in casual attire. 

Feeling suddenly tense, he took a breath and changed his sitting posture. He crooked a finger to his lips and coughed lightly, a faint smile playing on his lips. “I remember you were quite determined this morning to not have any relation with me?
