Sitting at the table and looking at the dishes, Cynthia couldn’t help asking, “Grandpa, grandma, haven’t you eaten either?” 

“Yes, your grandma insisted on waiting for you.” David had never had dinner so late since he retired. He was already starving. 

When David was about to eat, Jasmine knocked on him again. Then Jasmine ordered, “Winnie, tell Liam that Cynthia has woken up and ask him to come downstairs for dinner.”
