A One Night Stand With My Boss (by Ela Osaretin) novel Chapter 156

After the flight attendant left, Connor's peripheral vision caught Camila looking at him. He closed the folder he was holding and turned his head towards her, asking, "Why are you staring at me?" His voice was low and magnetic.

Camila was slightly startled, feeling like she had been caught red-handed, and nervously blurted out, "I regret asking for a glass of water. I should have ordered a coffee like you, to stay alert."

Connor's eyes narrowed slightly, his gaze fixed on her lips as she spoke nonsense.

Seeing that he didn't respond, Camila added in a softer tone, "I’m feeling a bit sleepy."

Connor chuckled softly, "If you're sleepy, you should sleep."

Camila shook her head, determinedly saying, "No, I want to finish reading the materials." She turned her gaze back to her laptop.

Connor's lips curved into a subtle smile.

At that moment, the flight attendant returned with a tray, momentarily blocking Connor’s view, causing him to frown slightly.

The flight attendant bent down to place a coffee on the table in front of Connor, smiling as she said, “Sir, your coffee. Please enjoy.”

Connor leaned back and said indifferently, “Give it to that lady.”

The flight attendant paused, knowing without further explanation that he meant the only lady in the first-class cabin.

She nodded with a smile, carrying the coffee over to Camila, and softly said, “Ma’am, your coffee and water.”

Camila looked up, slightly confused, “I didn’t order any coffee.”

“It was your companion’s request,” the flight attendant explained with a smile.

Camila uttered “I see,” and said, “Thank you.”

Whether it was the mundane plot of the movie or the smooth flight, Camila’s eyelids began to droop, and she soon dozed off.

Connor turned his head, his gaze falling on Camila, who was now sleeping soundly, her body curled up with the blanket snugly around her.

He watched her for a few seconds, chuckling softly. He noticed she liked to sleep on her side, always needing to hold something.

Connor straightened his sleeves, stood up, and gently draped his blanket over Camila. He then carefully removed her headphones and set them aside.

Alan, seated behind them, saw everything clearly. He had been with Connor for many years and knew his character well.

He understood that Connor’s care and attention towards Camila was something Haylie could never match.

He sighed softly, pondering to himself when Mr. Connor would realize that he had already fallen deeply without knowing it.
