"Mr. Connor," she cleared her throat.
"Prepare the documents and come to my room," Connor instructed.
"Okay," Camila responded.
After hanging up, Camila grabbed the documents and her laptop from the couch, threw on a coat, and left her room. Due to the local cultural differences, she didn’t bring a nightgown. Instead, she wore pajama pants and a comfortable top.
Camila rang the doorbell, and the door quickly opened.
Connor glanced at her, already fresh from a shower, "Did I interrupt your rest?"
Camila shook her head, smiling brightly, "Not at all."
Connor nodded and walked in. Camila closed the door and headed to the couch, placing the prepared documents on the table.
The meeting was primarily about a collaboration, specifically about opening their first global flagship store in this mall, depending on the terms offered.
Connor poured her a glass of warm water and sat on the couch, flipping through the documents.
Camila sat on the carpet, her laptop on the coffee table in front of her. She was diligently making spreadsheets, comparing market demands, cultural backgrounds, and legal regulations of major cities around the world.
After Connor finished reviewing the documents, he glanced at the time and said to Camila, "I need to have a brief meeting with our team."
Camila nodded in understanding.
Half an hour later, while Connor was still in his study, Camila had finished organizing the documents. Still adjusting to the time difference, her eyelids grew heavy, and she dozed off hugging a throw pillow.
Connor ended his meeting and walked out of the study, spotting Camila asleep on the couch.
He tiptoed over and whispered, "Camila."
