Everly said impatiently, "Miss Carolina, please have some self-respect. It is your business no matter you are doing good or not. No one owes you anything. You should know that no matter how many years you have been with Maverick, it is your choice. You should know better than me what happened between you two. I don't understand why you regret it now. You know that Maverick was using you but you still chose to be with him. So, please stop complaining!"
These words hurt Carolina.
She was furious but she noticed that scar on the corner of Everly's eyes.
The scar was new because it had not been very long after what happened to Sarah. Carolina was tickled off again and she had to find herself an outlet.
She sneered and pointed at Everly's scar, mocking, "Have you forgotten the scar on your face? Don't you have anything to do with Sarah's death? If I were you, I would not be able to sleep at night because I will feel guilty! Sarah would not die without you. You killed her!"
Everly didn't want to argue with Carolina anymore. It could only upset her.
Everly said coldly, "Whatever you think, I am not guilty. You should ask yourself why Sarah would do a live stream? Aren't you who told her to do so? I don't want to bring it out because everyone knows it. I am not afraid of you but I just believe that you gain what you sowed. I don't want to have anything to do with you."
Everly pushed Carolina away but she pushed too hard so Carolina's wrist hit the door frame. Carolina felt aggrieved so she wanted to hit Everly.
Everly was agile so she dodged. Carolina hit nothing.
The expression of Carolina was awful. Everly felt that Carolina wanted to eat her alive.
What happened to Sarah taught Everly a lesson so she didn't want to be disfigured. The scar on the corner of her eyes was a warning. Everly wanted to leave as soon as possible.
However, Carolina was following behind Everly so Everly thought that Carolina was insane.
When Everly walked to the corner, she hit someone accidentally.
Everly groaned and nearly tripped. But she was held by someone's arm. After she stood still, she looked up and realized that the man she hit was Gabriel.
Gabriel looked manly and he shared the same kind of hormone as Maverick though they were different.
Everly felt awkward because she was not familiar with Gabriel. She stepped back and said, "I am sorry, Mr. Gabriel."
People outside called him Mr. Gabriel so Everly called him so.
Gabriel looked cold so Everly found that Maverick and he had something in common.
Everly had gotten used to Maverick's cold look so she was not afraid of Gabriel.
"Miss Everly, what's wrong?" Gabriel said in a toneless voice but he was being polite. He looked over Everly's shoulder and saw Carolina who had calmed down.
Carolina rushed over and called, "Gabriel." Her voice was different now because she looked elegant but she was mean when she was talking with Everly. She said, "I was chatting with Miss Everly."
Everly didn't like to tell on anyone.
