A Pigeon Pair: Sweetheart, Let's Get Married novel Chapter 73

Hendrix saw Everly and a man standing at the entrance of the hospital from afar.

He was still on the phone and saw his sister looks a little angry.

He asked the driver to stop the car at the next intersection and said to the person on the other side of the phone, "Let's talk about it later."

He hung up the phone and got out of the car.

From here he can take a clear look at the man standing in front of Everly. He felt that he knew this man, and then he remembered that he was the guy from the blind date his mother had arranged for Everly.

He had seen the photos, and it wasn't too long ago, so he naturally had some impressions.

At this moment, he just happened to hear the man talking.

"Everly, I didn't even say hello to Mr. Maverick just now. Our company is going to have a bidding project that is linked to the Lamont Group. Do you have any news?"

Hendrix frowned.

Wasn't this just asking his sister to reveal some business information to him?

Was he crazy?

What kind of person his mom found for his sister?

Sure enough, he soon heard Everly say unpleasantly, "I can't reveal anything about my work, and I..."

She paused for a moment.

It seemed that she had quickly cut off what she wanted to say.

Everly wanted to say that she wasn't going to continue working for the Lamont Group, but she thought for a moment. Why did she tell him that?

She didn't want to explain, "My son is upstairs. I'm going to see him."

Stanley could tell that she seemed to be a little impatient with him. He thought for a moment and felt that he was indeed a little too anxious. So, he said, "I'll go up with you. I wanted to tell you last time that I would take you and your son out some other day. It happens that your son is in the hospital. I should go up and check on him."

Everly didn't want Stanley to go up.

But now that they were at the entrance of the hospital, if she refused directly, it would seem to be very impolite.

"It's just that I didn't bring anything." Stanley said, "How about that I go buy something for your son. Oh, right, your son's name is Edmond Farley, right? She showed me a picture. He looks very handsome. What food does he like?"

Everly wriggled her lips, but before she could say anything, Hendrix's voice came from behind.

"There's no need to bother. Edmond can't eat any snacks now. Let's directly go up."

"Hendrix." Everly heaved a sigh of relief, which was rare. Actually, her heart was in a mess right now, so she didn't have the energy to entertain guests.

"Yes." Hendrix nodded and looked at Stanley. Stanley clearly knew him, and he looked very polite. "Hello, I'm Everly's brother."

"I know. I've heard a lot about you!" Stanley was really excited. "Hello, Mr. Hendrix. I'm Stanley. I met Everly on a blind date. Nice to meet you today."

He stretched out his hand. Hendrix hesitated for a moment, but he still stretched out his hand and shook hands with Stanley for a moment before withdrawing his hand.

"Let's go up." Hendrix said to Everly, "I just happen to drop by to check on Edmond. There's something I need to talk to you about."

They looked as if no one else was around.

Stanley, however, did not feel embarrassed at all. He watched them walk towards the hospital entrance and followed happily.

When his aunt got him a blind date, he heard that his date had a five-year-old son. He even scolded his aunt for being insane.

He was a bachelor. What kind of girl couldn't he get? Why on earth would he find someone with a kid?

As a result, after his aunt showed him the details of this woman, Stanley felt that nothing was unacceptable.

He was from the countryside, so it was not easy for him to establish himself in such a big city.
