Chapter 137
Sage had cooked meals for Jace in the past.
If she could remember, she cooked for Jace multiple times, and she tried keeping each meal interesting and innovative, so he could fall in love with her cooking. No matter how she tried, Jace never expressed how he felt about her cooking.
Sage sometimes felt sorry for herself for trying too hard to impress Jace in the past.
Love can make someone feel worthless.
If given a chance, Sage wished to travel back to the past and slap that woman Sage Luz for letting herself feel so lowly. Jace won’t fall in love with you no matter what you do for him, you idiot. Stop daydreaming!
But all of a sudden now, Jace wanted to taste her cooking again. Wasn’t he worried about her poisoning him to death?
Sage let out a cold laugh and said to Hunter, “Make a reservation at Tasteful Restaurant then. Damien can whip up a few dishes as h e wishes. Also, prepare a five-million dollars cheque debiting from my account.” Hunter jotted down the list of instructions from Sage and asked out of curiosity. “Will he take the money?”
Tm handing it over to him no matter what he chooses to do with it,” answered Sage.
Sage thought for a moment and set sight on the painting hung on the comer of the wall, and she mumbled, “I’ll exchange something else for the porcelain plates if he refuses my money.” Hunter looked in her direction and saw what Sage was looking at. It was the scenery portrait painting of “Still Forest”. Hunter looked surprised
“You are letting go of this painting? This was your favorite masterpiece painted by yourself. You didn’t even agree of selling it at that time when someone offered ten million dollars for it,” asked Hunter
Sage said lightly, “This was no masterpiece. It was just something I painted casually as a kid. My father was the one treasuring it. I can’t replicate paintings anymore like I used to,” Sage looked at her hands.
