Sage knitted her brows into a frown. “And what have I done to you last night?”

Jace furrowed his brow and his expression looked as if his heart had been shattered into a million pieces. It was as though she was trying to deny what had happened last night.

Sage was puzzled.

Could it be that she really did something to him?

What could she have done to a tall and strong-build man like him?

Sage was doubting that Jace was making a scene out of nothing and was trying to put the blame on her for something that he had done.
