Chapter 186
Sage was using an ice pack on Leah’s swollen cheek. Her facial expressions were darkened.
Leah and Zane were in a heated argument just two hours ago. Zane gave a tight-slap on Leah’s cheek. It was so loud that the entire design department heard it.
Ada, the design director of Norah Jewelry rushed to Sage for two reasons, one to bring her the design drafts and the other to report what happened between Leah and Zane.
Hunter brought the ice and looked at Leah’s bruised face. He felt sorry for her and the guilt ate him up. He admitted his mistake,” It’s my fault, Miss Sage. I couldn’t get hold of the situation in time.”
“Of course it was!” Sage glared at Hunter and said coldly, “I’ll forfeit your bonuses for the month.”
Hunter nodded as he accepted the punishment. He felt better for having been reprimanded.
Leah nervously said, “Hey, this isn’t Hunter’s fault, he didn’t do anything wrong…”
“Why didn’t you tell me anything?” Sage frowned and asked Leah, ignoring her.
