However, Sage was not at Rosa Garden.

Zamora supervised the maids in putting away the gift boxes in the storage room. The front yard was filled with all sorts of gifts and the maids were all over the place, trying to tidy up. Zamora then noticed a familiar black car pulled over by the entrance. Walking over to the car, she greeted, “Sir, can I help you with anything?” Jace had his eyes fixed on the yard that was filled with heaps of gift boxes. His dark eyes clouded.

With a low voice, he replied, “I’m here to see Sage Norah.”

Staring at him, Zamora felt a little displeased as she did not like the fact that Jace addressed Sage with her full name. She believed that someone as respectable as Sage should be addressed more politely.

“My apologies, Sir. Ma’am is not in at the moment. If you wish to see her, perhaps you might want to give her a call, or maybe visit another day? Please forgive me for being unable to let you in.” She then ordered the guards to shut the main gate.

Zayne quickly explained, “We’re simply here to send our gifts. It’s Miss Sage’s birthday today, isn’t it? Mister Jace prepared several gifts for her and was hoping to give her these in person.”
