Chapter 34
Seeing Sage about to leave with Freya, Sienna panicked. She pointed at Sage and yelled, “I know now! It must be you! You are the one who set me up!”
“Sienna Zelda,” said Jace seriously. “Don’t accuse someone based on groundless speculations.”
Hearing Jace address her in a formal manner and seeing him implicitly take Sage’s side terrified Sienna. She felt like she was about to lose him for good.
Sienna did not think that she had accused Sage without any evidence,
It was obvious to her that she had been the target of some vicious plot, and it was the reason why her wedding had tumed out the way it did. It had not been long since her return to Nadeem City, and she was unable to recall if she had made any enemies.
The only feud she had was with Sage Luz. Plus, the garish manner in which Sage had arrived only furthered her suspicions that Sage was here to steal Jace.
“Sage Luz, one should be responsible for their own doings. Do you not have the guts to admit them?” Pointing her finger at Sage, Sienna seethed and swore to herself that she would get back at Sage even if Sage was not responsible for the situation that she was in.
If not, she would not be able to marry into the Yuriel family.
Standing behind Freya’s wheelchair, Sage replied indifferently, “You’re right, it’s me. You have a problem with that?”
Stunned, Jace looked to where Sage was standing.
Was it really her doing?
However, it was only yesterday, when she had pretended not to know him. In addition to that, she looked determined not to have anything to do with him anymore. Why the sudden change of attitude?
Sienna was stunned too. She did not expect Sage to easily admit her act.
Sage, on the other hand, did not think that it mattered whether she admitted to the crime or not. Even though it was Luther’s doing, she knew that Luther was only trying to help her. Hence, strictly speaking, she was partly responsible too.
