Pressing his lips tightly together, Yoel started picking on Jim. “The meatballs … are a bit dry and it’s quite tough to chew on. And the lasagna? The cheese isn’t enough and it should be baked longer for it to be crispier on the top…”
Yoel started giving a bunch of comments but he was simply nitpicking. He only stopped commenting when he felt Sage’s cold stare on him.
Staring coldly at Yoel, Sage said, “Do you know how our restaurant treats customers like you?”
Yoel shook his head.
Sage replied, “Get the hell out if you don’t like our food.”
Yoel was rendered speechless.

Yoel, of course, did not want to be kicked out so he continued eating without saying another word. Jim then placed another two dishes on the table.
Sage said, “It’s enough dishes for today, you can stop now. Get some early rest today, it must’ve been a long day for you.”
Jim wanted to tell her that he was not tired but seeing how Sage was firm with her decision, he did not want to push it. So he nodded and replied, “Okay, Sage.”
Before he left the room, he greeted Jace and Yoel politely, “Enjoy your meal, uncles.”
Yoel was dumbfounded. He was addressed as Mister or Sir for almost twenty years now and this was the first time he was being called an uncle. He felt as if he had aged. Yoel felt irritated yet at the same time saddened.
