A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 366

Chapter 366

It had been a few days since Wayne stayed in Rosa Garden. In the end, he still wanted to leave.

“I’m really not used to staying in a big house, nor do I enjoy being taken care of by other people. I prefer staying alone. Come on, Sage, please let me leave.” Wayne really tried hard to pursue his eldest granddaughter by talking like a little child asking for candy.

As Hunter and Leah heard Wayne asking to leave again, none of them responded at the dinner table. Both of them look at Sage:

This time around, Sage did not reject Wayne’s request directly. “It’s alright if you don’t want to stay in Rosa Garden. I bought a small house near Pheonix Vintage Market. Once it is ready, you can stay there.”

‘Pheonix Vintage Market!’ Wayne’s eyes widened. The suggestion hit his sweet spot, and it was exactly where he was planning to move in to. “That… works too.” Wayne did not reject it. “But I need to go to Nadeem City soon. I have set an appointment with an old pal that I had not met for a long time.”

Sage agreed with it and instructed, “Hunter, make the arrangement to have someone send Grandpa over.”

Hunter was a productive and efficient person. He quickly added it into his memo and said, “No problem.”

Within a blink of an eye, Sage and Hunter had decided and made the arrangement for Wayne. No words could describe how grateful he felt, so he just continued eating. After the meal, Sage and the rest were ready to go to work.

Before she left, Sage told Wayne, “Grandpa, if you are feeling bored, you could listen to songs or do some engraving. The workshop is open, and you are free to use any materials inside.”

Hunter had already stood by the side with the smart radio and was ready to pass it to Wayne,” Grandpa, you just need to speak out the music title or the singer’s name, and it will automatically play it. Let me teach you how to use it…” He patiently taught Wayne how to use the smart radio, and Wayne kept on nodding his head while his pupils widened.

“Oh… Oh… Oh… Even a radio can be so smart now and knows many songs.”

Leah chuckled and bent over in front of Wayne and took out two design drawings from her bag. “Grandpa, these are two designs that I had sketched recently. Can you please carve it out for me when you are free?”

Wayne took over the design drawings and laughed. “Okay, leave it to me. I saw the key

pendant you designed previously; it’s good and full of life force.”

Sage heard it and pretended to cough. Wayne looked up and quickly said, “Of course, the skill of the jade carving master is very important too. Jade Master is definitely one of the most skillful carvers in the industry.”

It was obvious Wayne tried hard to make sure that no one was being treated unfairly, and this action of his had amused all three of them. Leah and Hunter tried hard to hide their smiles, while Sage, on the other hand, was laughing cheerfully. All three of them were afraid that Wayne was too bored at home and wanted to find something for him to do.

On their way out, Hunter saw Sage was feeling a little down and whispered, “I think Grandpa was still feeling a little guilty and embarrassed to stay in Rosa Garden. He must not be willing to see how you and your uncle fight, so the only thing he could do was to stay away from it. You should try to understand from his perspective. It’s a big step for him to be willing to face all of these. It’s not easy, you know.”

= Sage pressed her lips and understood what Hunter was trying to say. From her perspective,

there was nothing wrong with the way she handled it since her uncle was the one who did the wrong thing. However, from Wayne’s perspective, it was totally a different thing. No matter what Braxton and Zane did, they were still his son. A tiger, though cruel, would not devour its cubs. It was never easy to be the one who had to punish one’s own relations in the cause of justice. Moreover, she also did not wish to let Grandpa see the cruel and merciless side of her when it was the time to settle the business with Braxton and Zane. That would only hurt Grandpa.

When they were in the car, Sage instructed, “Have someone clean up the house as soon as possible and hire an honest and hardworking maid. She just needs to help Grandpa do some house chores, cook some food and wash the dirty laundry.”
