Chapter 424
When Melody learned that Sage and Yoel were going to the racecourse, she bugged them to let her go as well.
“Aunt Sage, can I go as well? I’ve always wanted to learn how to ride a horse, but my old man never let me. How about you teach me?”
She tugged on Sage’s arm and lifted her head to face her. She eagerly looked at Sage with two brilliant eyes that were filled with excitement. Anybody who saw how eager and adorable she looked would have found it difficult to say no to her. Sage was no different.
“You have to behave yourself. Don’t fool around when you’re there.” Sage stated her conditions.
Melody immediately held three fingers up happily as if she was swearing an oath.”No problem!
“Kid, how about if you address me as brother again, I’ll teach you how to ride a horse?” Yoel raised his eyebrows and teased her while he showed his most charming smile.
Melody pouted her lips with dissatisfaction. “Can you stop calling me a kid? i’m already seventeen!”
“I’m about the same age as your father, so you’ll be a kid in my eyes.” —
Yoel was thinking if had also had a child in his 20s like Ross, then even if his child was not as old as Melody, his child would have been almost eight years old. The thought of that out a shiver up his spine. “Why are you unhappy when I call you an old man then?” Melody realized that this person was too self-contradicting. She looked at Yoel. “Who exactly are you to my aunt? It’s very clear that your personality isn’t her type.”
Yoel was speechless.
He was caught off guard when she attacked him with hurtful truth. “What kind of personality do I have? What’s wrong with my kind of personality? Am I not better than Jace, who is so cold that he’s frozen solid? To be honest with you, I’m really your aunt’s boy.” Sage shot a cold glance at Yoel which made him choke back his words instantly. He was going to say boyfriend, but he forcefully changed it to admirer.
“-I’m your aunt’s admirer.”
Melody immediately understood what he meant. “Oh, so you’re going after my aunt.”
Just when Yoel was going to nod, she immediately added, “You’ve got no chance then.”
Yoel was speechless. Melody said seriously, “My aunt never liked my father, so of course, she won’t like you.” Yoel was speechless and the only thing he could do was sigh.

He raised his eyebrows and wanted to smack the kid. “What do you mean? Do you mean I am no match for your father?”.
