Chapter 55
Sage had one rule that she had always stuck to when dealing with such matters: Avoid taking matters into your own hands.
With Yeva, she was willing to spend time “teaching” her, as Yeva was her cousin. However, she had never wasted her time on outsiders as they were usually not worth the time nor the energy.
This time, Sage was in a horrible mood, and the woman was rubbing salt into the wound. Hence, Sage had no intentions of turning a blind eye this time,
The venue was rowdy. Music blasted through speakers, and the chatter of guests filled the hall. At first, no one had noticed the commotion, but as the chatterboxes screamed and yelled at the top of their lungs. They acted as if they had never had something like this done to them.
Thanks to the ladies, Sage who had always kept a low profile found herself in the center of attention. Guests were slowly gathering around them.
The lady, who Sage had dumped wine on, was the only one who was not yelling. She was still in shock. Tasting wine in her mouth, she began to stutter, “Who… Who are you?”
All the guests who had been invited were well either well-known public figures, or they were actors and actresses. The lady who had been splashed with wine was an actress who had recently made it big. She had been in the entertainment industry for over ten years and had picked up the skill of reading people.
Although she was startled to her core, the lady noticed that Sage was dressed in an expensive dress, and the jade necklace around Sage’s neck only confirmed that Sage was not someone that she could mess with or even offend. 1
“You don’t even know me but dare to badmouth me? Should I praise you for being bold and fearless?”
Sage had gone easy on the lady. Even though she had deliberately broken the wine glass on top of the lady’s head, and it was indeed terrifying when the glass had shattered, Sage had made sure that the lady was not injured in any way.
Sage had always taken mercy on ladies.
The actress thought hard and finally came to a realization, “You… you’re Miss Sage Norah?”
