Sage was amused to see how desperate Kane was. Kane’s eyes were burning with the desire to hint at Sage for allowing Laura to stay with them. She looked at Laura and asked, “You don’t need to go back to Gemfield?”

Laura answered, “My parents keep setting up blind dates for me. Just thinking about it makes my head hurt. It’s best to just avoid it by any means I can. Let me take shelter at your place.”

“It’s not a biggie, but I don’t have that much free time on hand to accompany you…” Sage said.

Laura waved her hand dashingly and said, “It’s okay. There are so many fun and attractive places in Salem City. I can entertain myself.”

“I’m worried about leaving you alone.” After deep consideration, Sage looked at Kane and asked, “Kane, do you have anything urgent to do? If not, can you please take care of Laura for me?”

Kane looked indifferent and acted like he was not happy with the arrangement but had to agree with it because it was Sage’s request and said, “I guess I can.”

Laura could feel that Kane was unwilling, and so she rejected him since she did not want to trouble Kane. “There’s no need to trouble Kane. If I really need someone to accompany me, Yoel is around. He can bring me out to have fun.”

Despite feeling the hostility from Kane, Yoel was not afraid to make matters worse. He smiled and said, “Sure thing.”

Sage looked at him while feeling speechless. This guy is really a trouble maker. He is going to get a beating from Kane soon.’

The private jet was already standing by at the airport. There were a lot of people heading back to Salem City this time around. Kane, Luther, Laura, Yoel, Leah, Hunter, Louis, and a team of bodyguards followed closely behind Sage, awe-inspiring.
