Chapter 621 “What?” Sage was confused, “Are there any benefits to it?” 

Kane smiled mysteriously, the lines on his face suddenly softened, “Laura heard about what happened to you, and she told me about it.” Sage jumped, “Did she get fired?” “I guess, she ended her leaves and was back on the team.” “I see.” Sage smiled, and winked at Kane, “Kane, hopefully I’d get to hear good news from you soon?” 

Kane was confident, “Sure you will.” 

However, Nigel said, “Kane, stop it. I’ve not heard enough. Sage, tell us about Captain Yale, he was definitely a hero.” 

He was so excited to talk about him that his face glowed. He even complimented him excessively. Sage understood the assignment. She grinned and said, “Nigel, you’re a married man, Captain Yale’s heroic story should be irrelevant to you. You should stay loyal and be careful…” 

“Who… Who is having funny thoughts?” Nigel stared at Sage defiantly while looking sheepishly at Sean. He saw Sean moping while quietly walking to the study. He quickly hung up on the call, before which he said angrily, “Look at what you did!” 

Nigel quickly went offline. 

Kane seemed to have received a text message from Laura, and quickly hung up too after telling Sage to take good care of herself. The chatroom was only left with Sage and Luther, the singles. Luther coughed dryly, and stuttered, “I’m not sure if I should tell you…” “What?” Sage said, “Just tell me.” 

Luther said, “Jace called me, and asked about how you’re doing. I told him that you’re fine.” Sage went quiet for a while, and said, “Oh.” “As soon as he heard about the accident, he wanted to fly to Yathein immediately overnight. I even bumped into him at the airport…” Before Luther could finish, Sage frowned and said angrily, “Is he insane? He just went through cranial surgery, how did he take a plane?” “Yeah, the airlines stopped him, so he wanted to fly in the private jet instead. He got stopped by the Yuriels in the end.” 

Sage was relieved to hear this, she even said sternly, “Don’t ever let him come over. I’m fine here, I refuse to see him.” 

“Right, I told him the same thing,” Luther pursed his lips, “But, I really do think Jace is really serious about your relationship. When I met him at the airport today, he was on the verge of breaking down, almost like how we felt when…” 

Sage did not say anything more… She could feel a lump in her throat,, so she hung up quietly.
