 She did not want to listen to Jace’s will. Her heart throbbed in pain when she heard the word will. 

Freya held her hand quietly and told Mister Tobias, “Everyone is here. Let’s start.” 

“Alright.” Mister Tobias presented the red-sealed paper bag to the crowd. Then, he opened it slowly and took out the will inside. He formally read the will, “The testator, Jace Yuriel. Gender, male…” 

It was just the beginning, but the crowd started sobbing. Sage sat there stiffly. She wanted to leave as soon as the lawyer started reading the will. Everything felt so absurd. Sage listened to all of this with a blank face. The inheritance did not matter to her. 

She did not care, but not the certain members of the Yuriel family. There were still some properties and shares left to read, but Flynn and Felipe could not sit still anymore. They did not want to listen anymore! 

Flynn’s face turned sullen. “I don’t have any comments about the properties. Jace can give them to whoever he wants. However, how can he simply give away his shares in the Yuriel Group?” 

Felipe stood up abruptly too. “That’s right! How can he appoint an outsider to be the Yuriel Group’s CEO? What a joke! Does he think there’s no one else capable in the family?”
