Chapter 725 “That won‘t do.” Simon said, “Leaving our friendship aside. Have you forgotten about your habit?”
Wayne widened his eyes, “What habit?”
“Once you start on something, you must complete it and it must be flawless or you‘d rather not start at all.” Simon chuckled, “A perfectionist with OCD. There‘s no treatment for that.”
Wayne shouted, “Scram!”
“Alright, alright. You don’t have to be so hot–tempered.” Simon pulled Wayne to sit down on the couch, “It‘s all my fault. I failed to supervise these people. It will never happen again. You are the head of the project and you have all the say in it.”
“I‘m not going back because of you. The reason I agreed to go back is because of money!” Wayne snorted, “You think I didn‘t know how capitalist–minded you are? The project is already halfway done. I need to complete it to get my money.” Simon smiled so brightly that his eyes turned into lines. “You don‘t have to worry about money. I know that when you sign the contract with Jace, all of the profit from the project would belong to Sage. At the end of the day, you will still earn money for your granddaughter.” Just after Simon finished talking, Wayne stared at him, “Hey! Why did you say this? Who allowed you to say it out?”
Previously, he had been acting dumb and playing stupid when Sage asked, but now he has been exposed! Obviously, Sage already knew about it so she just smiled.
While the two old men fought, Riley just sat quietly and ate the food. Concentrating on eating was the most respectful way a person could give food. His cheeks were filled like a squirrel who wanted to store food in its mouth.
Both of them went to another place to play. A maid followed them with a tray full of snacks to watch them play and also took the opportunity to feed Riley more food.
