Chapter 797 Luther raised his head abruptly and choked on a mouthful of noodles. He coughed desperately, “Cough, cough, cough…” ‘Sage, watch your actions!’ he yelled in his heart. Sage looked at Jace with a surprisingly calm face. “Are you full yet?” Jace nodded. “Yes. I’m full.” “Come upstairs with me!” Sage had a lot to say. She turned around and went upstairs. After walking two steps, she noticed that Jace was still frozen in place. She was afraid that he would leave, so she simply went over and took his hand. “Let’s go!” Jace was just like a giant doll and obediently followed Sage upstairs. Hunter shouted from downstairs, “Miss Sage, about the photos…” “You guys can deal with it. I don’t have time for that now!” Sage said. Hunter thought to himself, ‘Alright. Everything else seemed less important than Mister Jace’s return.’
Sage took Jace upstairs and led him into her room.
Jace followed her into her room with her hand still holding him. He was a little shy and asked, “Uhm… Do I need to change my shoes or something?”
Sage thought about it and told him to wait a moment. Then, she went to the guest room next door and brought out a pair of slippers that she always prepared for her brothers. “Here. Use these.”
Jace took the slippers and changed into them. “Thank you.”
It was the first time he had entered her room. Her room was completely different from his imagination. It was not pink or warm yellow but a very simple grey and white style.
It was very neat and beautiful.
“Why don’t you just take a shower.” Sage looked at his dusty clothes and said, “You’re not leaving tonight anyway.” She was full of questions at that moment. The only thought she had in her head was to keep an eye on him and make him stay!
Jace looked at Sage for a long time and held back his shyness. He had already died once. What was there to be embarrassed about?
Did he not come back this time to stay by her side and be her guardian?
“Okay.” He smiled warmly and listened to her orders without any objection.
Jace went into the guest room and took a shower. Meanwhile, Sage went to Tim’s room and grabbed a clean set of casual clothes for him according to his height and size. She also took a
new pair of underwear for him. When Jace came out of the guest room, Sage was squatting in the doorway with a cigarette in her left hand. She did not smoke it. She just breathed in the woody smell of tobacco and calmed her mixed emotions.
“Have a seat.” Sage took Jace into her room again and made him sit on the sofa. She moved a chair over and sat across from him.
“Now, tell me. How did you die, and how did you revive?” She began her questioning.
Jace was dressed in a casual white suit and grew pants that blended in with the color palette of Sage’s room. He sat on the sofa and obediently accepted her interrogation.
He answered her questions seriously and said with a straight face, “I was saved. To be precise, someone saved me from Shawn and brought me back to life.”
Shawn! It was Shawn again!
Sage’s eyes darkened. “You said someone saved you. Who is it? Did the people who saved you shave my name in your hair too?” 1 “Yes.” Jace knew she already had an idea in her mind. He did not hide the truth from her and explained, “Uncle Sawyer and Aunt Primrose saved me. They’re the ones who shaved your name into my hair too.” Sage’s heart shuddered. She knew it! It was her parents! They were still alive!
