In early April, the night air in Nadeem City was still a bit chilly. Jace and Sage got out and saw Zachary and Henry at the entrance. They had been waiting for them and waved at them as soon as they saw thein. 

They greeted, “Jace! Sage!” “How’s my mom?” Jace asked. Henry said, “Aunt Freya was released. The child in Luna’s belly is fine. It’s a false alarm and just bad luck!” 

“It’s more than bad luck! That woman is really shameless!” Zachary was so angry that he scolded, “She’s the one who caused the scene, and she was the one who made trouble and called the police. She was also the one who pleaded with the police to withdraw the police report. We’ve been watching her act the whole day.” 

Jace’s eyes were cold. He said in a deep voice, “Let’s go home first.” 

As the car drove to the old residence, they saw a big black car parked near the entrance. Zachary shouted in the passenger seat, “D*mn! Isn’t this Lucas’s car? How dare he come here! 

Jace and Sage looked over and narrowed their eyes. 

When they entered the old residence, they headed for Freya’s place. 

While walking through the archway, they overheard Lucas’s shocked voice. “Freya, you can stand?” 

Lucas had just returned from a business trip. When he got off the plane, he received a call from Luna. She was crying to him on the phone. He rushed to the hospital to check Luna’s condition and was relieved to see the baby was okay. Then, he listened to Luna’s sorrowful speech for a long time. 

“I was so surprised to hear from Sienna that Jace was alive, so I wanted to visit the old residence and speak to Freya. I didn’t expect her to have such a deep resentment against me. She pushed me out after a few words. I was afraid that something might happen to the body, so I kept asking her to be gentle, but she…” 

“Lucas, it’s not Freya’s fault. It’s all my fault. I’ve spoken to the police…” 

Lucas received the news that his son was alive during his business trip. Someone had seen Jace around. 

He was so surprised that he ended his trip early. He wanted to ask Freya about it, but he did not expect something to happen to Luna first. 

He listened blankly to Luna’s words until she mentioned the police. His face suddenly changed into a scowl. He frowned and asked, “You called the police?” 

Luna stopped abruptly. She was taken aback by his cold eyes and shocked. After that, she hurriedly explained, “It’s not me. Rhea did. Rhea was just worried about me…” 

Her helper Rhea stood beside her and dropped her head, not daring to say anything. 

Lucas kept staring at Luna with a grim face and said nothing. 

Luna’s heart shivered because of his cold stare. She murmured, “D…don’t worry… The child is all right. I talked to the police and pleaded for her. She should be released by now.” 

“Why are you doing this?” Lucas said suddenly.
