Yeva was not aware of the fact that her room was under surveillance, nor was she aware of the fact that Sage was watching her every move and listening to every word.

Luther could not help but exclaim, “I thought that you were ruthless, but it seems that your cousins are no weaker than you, especially Yeva. Leaning into the sofa, Sage smirked. “Uncle Zane always had a patriarchal view and always wanted a son.

“Or perhaps he harbored dreams of becoming a king, and therefore, he would need someone to replace him once he is gone.”

Sage shook her head. “How can he have such a feudal view? It’s just hopeless.”

Luther asked, “So what do we do now? Your cousins are plotting and scheming against you.”

Taking a sip of coffee from her cup, Sage replied nonchalantly, “It’s nice that they are protesting. The days are so boring and dull otherwise.”

Sage had decided to deal with them when the time came.

Jace did not get any rest throughout the day. He attended meeting after meeting.

As soon as the meeting ended, Jace took out his phone to find that he had several missed calls from his mother and Sienna.

Jace ignored the missed calls from Sienna and only returned his mother’s calls. “I was in a meeting earlier. What’s wrong?”
