A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo) novel Chapter 126

There was no emotion in Sierra's eyes. It was like a pitch-black night sky, void of even a single star.

Benson looked at her and, for some reason, felt a sudden wave of panic. He tried to grab her hand, pushing through the pain, but she pulled away.

Taking two steps back, she blinked slowly, her voice calm but distant.

"Benson, I don't want to marry you anymore. I've spent years revolving around you, and I'm exhausted. I just want to live for myself now. There's nothing left between us, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't interfere in my life again."

With that, she turned and walked away, not sparing him a single glance.

Benson stood frozen, his face pale. His emotions churned—a tangled mess of sadness, anger, bitterness, and regret, pressing against his chest like a weight he couldn't shake.

He hadn't been sleeping well these past few nights. Every time he closed his eyes, all he saw was Sierra's face.

For many years, he had gotten used to having her around, seeing her at the office every day.

He used to think she was a bit annoying, but these past few days, whenever he had been drunk and dealing with his gastric issues, what he missed most was hearing her voice.

It was when he realized that he couldn't live without her.

So, Benson came to apologize today, hoping to win him back. However, her words were cold and ruthless, like a sharp blade stabbing deep into his heart.

Could he be losing Sierra?

No. He refused to believe it.

They'd been together for so long, and he refused to believe she could just walk away from their relationship with such ease.

Even if she could move on, would the Shaw family be willing to give up the opportunity to ally with the Gray family through marriage?
