A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo) novel Chapter 134

Clyde left a warning before walking out of the apartment.

As soon as Sophie heard the door close, she rushed into the bathroom, retching violently. Her face was ghostly pale. She vigorously scrubbed her face with cold water, trying to wash away the lingering stench of him that seemed to cling to her nostrils.

She scrubbed repeatedly until her face turned red, finally giving up. Staring at her angry, disheveled reflection in the mirror, Sophie let out a frustrated scream.

When would she finally be free of that disgusting man, Clyde?

His very presence was a constant reminder of her dirty past.

No!

She wanted to break free from him and never have anything to do with him again.

She was determined to marry into the Gray family and become wealthy, completely breaking free from Clyde. She never wanted to return to her old life.

Benson was the only one who could pull her out of this abyss.

In the mirror, her eyes shone with boundless greed and cruelty.

....

On his way home, Benson could still smell Sophie's perfume lingering on his clothes. The scent kept invading his senses. His mind kept replaying the image of her soft body writhing against him.

His body gradually grew hot.

A sudden screech of brakes jolted him. He lurched forward, breaking into a cold sweat as he narrowly avoided hitting a pedestrian.

The pedestrian shouted curses at Benson before storming off.

He pinched the bridge of his nose, took off his jacket, and tossed it onto the back seat. Then, he slapped himself hard across the face.

He was definitely losing his mind to have such terrifying thoughts!

He rolled down the window, letting the cold wind hit his face, cooling the heat that had consumed him. Only then did he fully regain his senses.

He had almost crossed the line again.
