"Cee, listen to me," Benson pleaded, his brows furrowed. "Right now, the most important thing is for you to recover. It's my fault you got hurt, and I'll do whatever I can to make it up to you. Just don't compete, okay?"

His voice was softer than usual, but Sierra still caught the firm, controlling tone underneath.

Her expression turned cold. "What I choose to do has nothing to do with you. Making our breakup public will be good for both of us."

"You're in that much of a rush to cut me off?" Benson's voice dropped, filled with unmistakable hurt.

"Not cut you off? Should Cee get back together with you instead? Benson, are you seriously still daydreaming? Do you not understand what she's saying, or are you just pretending? If you actually regret what you did, then stop making things worse. Just clear up the rumors and move on," Madison snapped, her temper barely in check.

Benson's jaw tightened. He looked at Sierra for a long moment before finally saying, "Cee, don't worry. I'll handle this. I'll prove to you that I've changed."

With that, he cast her one last lingering glance and turned to leave.

Madison wasted no time slamming the door behind him. She scoffed, crossing her arms. "I can't believe it. He actually left just like that? I was sure he'd try to drag this out again. I was about to text Lyonel to hurry back."

However, Sierra's brows knit together slightly as Benson's last words unsettled her.

"What's wrong, Cee?" Madison asked, noticing her hesitation.

"Nothing… I'm probably overthinking it," Sierra muttered, shaking her head before heading back to the couch.

Madison grumbled, "How did he even get in? I thought you told the security guard to keep him out."

"The usual security guard is off duty. The replacement probably didn't recognize him," Sierra guessed. Seeing Benson at the door had caught her off guard. She had been worried he'd act out again, but this time, he had been eerily calm. The difference in his behavior left her uneasy.
