Louis' expression was grim, and his tone was harsh. "I want you to be honest with me. Is this friend of yours your backer? Also, did you break up with Benson because you cheated on him?"
Sierra was rooted to the spot, and the look of disbelief on her face was unmistakable.
Jemima sat next to her, looking concerned. She disagreed with Louis' take on the matter. "I know who Sierra is. There's a big chance this is just a misunderstanding. She wouldn't have done something like this."
Louis looked at Sierra as if she was a big disappointment. "Do you have any idea how big of a mess you just brought to the campus? It's fine if you can't get good grades, but it's deeply troubling when your character is fundamentally flawed."
"Wait a minute. What do you mean by my backer and cheating?" Sierra felt a little dazed after she was belittled.
Jemima noticed that Sierra didn't know anything about this. She became more certain that someone was falsely accusing Sierra.
However, he believed Sierra was just playing dumb. He pulled his cell phone out and tossed it to her. He scoffed. "Look at what you've done. Someone has exposed your wrongdoings. Now, everyone's attacking our university."
Sierra held the phone up and saw the campus forum she was familiar with. As she scrolled down, her frown deepened.
#Queen of the Keys has an affair. Mr. Gray hurt terribly.#
The article made Sierra out to be a cheating, disloyal lady. Meanwhile, Benson became the man who was deeply in love with her but was unjustifiably hurt. Theo had a part in it too. He was the mysterious meal ticket who had never shown himself to the public.
Sierra laughed angrily. She tossed the cell phone aside and snarled, "What a load of crap!"
Louis hurriedly picked up his cell phone. He let out a sigh of relief when he was sure that it wasn't broken. Then, he looked at her, frowning. "What do you mean? Is everything written in the article made up?"
If it turned out to be a fake article, then the original poster was out to defame the university. He was determined to pursue full responsibility if that was the case.
Sierra nodded firmly. "It's made up. Benson and I have broken up a long time ago. I don't feel like revealing the reason behind it, but I definitely didn't cheat on him."
Louis stared at her for a while. Eventually, he grew less skeptical of her. He pointed at the car in the picture and asked, "Who on earth gave you a ride to campus? Get him here to explain everything."
