Sierra didn't hesitate. Pulling out her phone, she gave Theo a call without any hesitation.
Meanwhile, Theo was in a meeting when his phone buzzed. He was absent-minded a second ago, but he immediately focused when he saw who the caller was.
Raising his hand, he stopped the staff member making a report.
"Sierra, why did you call me at this time of day?" He was no longer leaning on the chair. He sat upright, his tone laced with an uncharacteristic patience.
Several managers were standing in front of him, and they had their ears peeled. Their curiosity was at an all-time peak.
Adrian was the only person standing next to Theo calmly, his eyes brimming with amusement.
Sierra's phone call couldn't have come at a better time. He saw Theo's gaze and noticed there was something wrong. Theo was probably not happy with the proposals and contracts his subordinates presented to him. He was worried that the idiots would drag him down, too.
"Are you busy right now?" Sierra asked cautiously, feeling a little embarrassed.
Theo ignored the managers and responded gently, "Not at all."
She let out a sigh of relief and looked at Louis, who fixed his gaze on her. "I need your help with something. Can you swing by my campus?"
He rose to his feet and gestured to Adrian. He said as he walked out, "I'll be there in a minute. Is everything alright?"
Sierra felt slightly better when she felt his concern for her, and she responded tenderly, "Yeah. I'll be waiting for you at the faculty office."
Hanging up the phone, Theo drove his car straight to the university without waiting for his driver.
…
Meanwhile, Adrian stayed behind and stood in front of Theo's work desk. He elaborated with a slight humor in his tone, "Consider yourselves lucky. Go back and work on your proposals and contracts. Make sure that they are flawless before you send them back again."
