Benson's feelings toward the baby were complicated. He would not have been forced to marry Sophie otherwise.
If he were still single, then he would still have a chance to reconcile with Sierra!
However, he had often wondered whether she had agreed to marry Theo after finding out about Sophie's pregnancy and being utterly disappointed in him.
Hence, he had even considered making Sophie get an abortion, but he could not do it. His heart would always soften at the very last minute, and he ended up being the only one suffering because of it.
Now, everyone knew that Sierra and he were about to get married to different people. That thought alone pained Benson so much that he was at the point of despair.
He looked at the distressed Sophie, who was pleading for him to stay. "Once the child is born, we'll get a divorce. I'll give you enough money for you to live comfortably for the rest of your life."
In the end, Benson's heart softened, and he decided to keep the child. However, he refused to give up on Sierra.
Just the thought of her lying in another man's arms was enough to drive him crazy.
Unable to tolerate not being able to win Benson's heart despite acting so weak and frail, she snapped, "Benson, it's time for you to wake up. Sierra doesn't love you. Even if you don't marry me, you wouldn't be able to return to her side."
Sophie's head snapped to the side as shock filled her eyes after being slapped.
Glaring at the person before him, Benson raised his hand, scolding, "What nonsense are you saying? Cee wouldn't have left me if it weren't for you."
She held her cheek as she looked at him in disbelief.
Hatred flashed through her eyes. It was always about Sierra. Why was Sierra still messing with their relationship despite already being married?
Seeing that Sophie had remained silent, his anger dissipated, and he mumbled drunkenly, "Cee only agreed to marry someone else because she was too disappointed I made you pregnant.
"As long as I stay single, I'll definitely be able to win her back someday. I don't mind that she had married someone else first. I love her. Cee…"
Benson walked out as he continued mumbling, Hence, he did not see the twisted look on Sophie's face as she gripped her bed sheets tightly.
