Madison felt relieved when she saw the smile on Sierra's face. She pondered a little, after which she voiced out, "William is the root of all the problems in your family. The best solution is to get Vera and Xavier out of there for good."
Disappointment flashed in Sierra's eyes. "I asked her about it, but she wouldn't do it."
Madison couldn't understand it, pressing, "Why?"
Putting herself in Vera's shoes, she still would've divorced her husband if he had abused her every day and used her to blackmail her daughter.
Sierra shook her head, feeling puzzled as well. "Beats me."
Getting them out wouldn't work. She would have to think of something else.
"I have an idea." Madison smacked her hands, and her eyes sparkled. "If Vera doesn't want a divorce, just take William's wealth and company for yourself and leave nothing for him."
Noticing the dazed look on Sierra's face, she explained, "Without wealth, he won't be able to exercise his authority at home. If he needs money from Vera to have a meal outside, he won't have the guts to hit her anymore."
After Sierra recovered from her shock, she fell into deep contemplation. Meanwhile, Madison kept telling her how miserable William would be once his wealth was gone and his company snatched from him.
Once Madison was done rambling, she turned sideways and noticed that Sierra had blanked out. She reached out and gently nudged Sierra. "A penny for your thoughts?"
Sierra pushed her thoughts aside and smiled as she shook her head.
Madison didn't think anything of it when she saw how quickly Sierra calmed down. With a nosy look, she questioned, "I've been seeing lovey-dovey news about Mr. Gray and you for the past few days. Tell me. How far have you two gotten?"
"Same as before." Sierra pushed Madison away, not daring to look her in the eyes. "I accepted his confession, and we're trying to accept each other."
"Does that mean you guys are in a relationship now?" Madison mulled it over a little and immediately grinned from ear to ear. "You have gotten a marriage certificate, and you guys just thought of going into a relationship. Oh my God. Mr. Gray is just too inexperienced in romance."
Sierra's face and ears turned red as Madison laughed at her. Eventually, she couldn't take it anymore and covered Madison's mouth.
Stifling her laughter, Madison pulled Sierra's hand away and pried with a naughty look, "Did Mr. Gray and you do the deed?"
