A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo) novel Chapter 379

Melody was about to retort to Sierra, but her words were caught in her throat. She gave Theo a look of disbelief.

Grinning, Daniel and Simon also looked over in amusement and commented playfully, "You were worried that Sierra wouldn't say yes to your proposal. That's why you figured you'd seal the deal by getting the marriage certificate as soon as you could. Am I right?"

"With the certificate in hand, Sierra no longer has a chance to regret the decision. So, you have a lot of time to plan out your proposal. If you ask me, doing it on the beach is quite romantic. Also…"

They were clearly joking around, but Theo took their words seriously. He even turned around, asking her, "What is your ideal proposal location?"

Sierra immediately blushed. She had just portrayed herself as a feisty young lady, but that demeanor was immediately gone. Instead, she went right back to being submissive and shy again.

The thing was, Melody had received a lot of news about Theo and Sierra, such as people accidentally bumping into them during their dates and how much he doted on her.

Back then, she was certain that Sierra had hired someone to leak this news on the internet since she was at loggerheads with Benson.

Now, however, she could no longer find an excuse. The way Theo treated Sierra was genuinely different.

Although he had the same nonchalant expression, the love in his eyes was evident whenever he looked at Sierra. Also, he would've ignored Sierra's words if this had happened in the past, instead of admitting it quietly.

Sierra didn't pester Theo until he married her. Instead, he was the one who pleaded and sweet-talked her into becoming his wife. He didn't even have time to propose to her because he didn't want her to have a chance to regret the decision.

Melody knew very well that Theo detested lying. She was also aware that he would never say anything ambiguous just to preserve anyone's dignity.

That was why she was shocked. Her heart ached, and her face gradually paled so much that she looked like a corpse.

"Melody, what's wrong?" Douglas noticed the unusual look on Melody's face and asked in a concerned tone, "Are you feeling unwell? Should I get you a doctor?"

Yvette cast a scornful gaze at him and said squarely, "My dear simp, isn't it obvious? She's reeling from an overwhelming jealousy."

Yvette leaned against Simon's chest, acting sweetly and being clingy as if they were alone. From time to time, she would also give Douglas a triumphant look.

Sierra felt a little jealous when she saw how comfortable Yvette was with Simon. Turning around, she looked at Theo, only to find him staring at her too. Then, she immediately turned back out of embarrassment.

Needless to say, he noticed it. A hint of amusement flashed in his eyes, and he took a step forward. Standing behind her, he reached out and held her hand along with the fishing rod.

"Geez, Theo. We're still here. Don't you think it's a little bit too much to be this lovey-dovey in front of us?" Daniel looked excited as he stared at their intertwined hands.

Theo was being teased, but he was completely unfazed. Meanwhile, Sierra looked at their hands and lowered her head shyly. The next thing she knew, her arm was raised, and she lifted her head again.

She could feel something pulling hard at the fishing line. Her eyes widened as she asked gleefully, "Is it a fish?"

Theo tightened his grip, his gaze lingering on Sierra.
