Lauren was older than Benson, and the two of them seemed like an impossible match. Hence, Melody never thought that…
With a loud click, Lauren walked out of the room after changing her dress. She frowned when she saw Melody and Tessa standing there. "What are you two talking about? Hurry up and go down!"
"We weren't talking about anything important," came Teszsa's response.
Then, she pulled Melody over and smiled as she complimented Lauren. "I have to say, the dress that Melody got you is quite pretty. It makes you look much more mature."
Flipping her hair to the side, Lauren said confidently, "That's because I'm naturally gorgeous."
Smiling, Melody nodded, replying, "Alright. You're the prettiest here, alright?"
Seeing Lauren nod in satisfaction and head down the stairs, Melody and Tessa followed behind as they exchanged glances.
"Melody, I just saw Mr. Rodriguez. Why don't I introduce you to him?" Douglas had been keeping an eye on the stairs, so when he saw her coming down, he immediately approached her.
Seeing how attentive he was being, Tessa and Lauren gave Melody a teasing look. "You're still as popular as ever, always having several people wanting to pursue you."
"You should hurry up and go since you're the star of today's banquet, after all."
Under Tessa's and Lauren's urging, Melody left with Douglas. As she left, anticipation flashed across her eyes.
The two women stood there and spent some time trying to locate Sierra. When they saw her seated at the corner, having a bite, disdain immediately flashed across their eyes.
"She's such a lowlife. How can she eat during such an occasion?"
"Has she been starving all this time? Why does she keep eating?"
Lauren raised her chin and was about to head over when Tessa stopped her. "If you stomp over like that, aren't you afraid she'll throw another piece of cake in your face?"
