Chapter 85 Unwilling to Marry Him
William’s face was in the shade of sunset at that, his expression filled with anger. “How dare you treat Xavier like this! You’re becoming
William’s face suddenly tumed as red as the setting sun, and his expression was filled with anger. “How dare you treat Xavier like this? You’re becoming more and more lawless. I must teach you a lesson today!”
With that, he strode up to Sierra, raised his hand, and was about to hit her, only for Vera to forcefully stop William by grabbing his arm. “William, Cee didn’t do it
on purpose.
Don’t get angry. We’re in the hospital. It’ll be bad if others see it.”
Vera quickly spoke up, signaling to Sierra with her eyes to soften her attitude and say something nice
Sierra’s eyes flashed coldly as she spoke indifferently, “Xavier asked me to pour him water. I brought him the water, and Leven fed it to him. What did I do wrong?”
“You’re still sharp–tongued. It seems you didn’t leam from that slap!” William was full of cage as he glared at her
However, she just smiled, not the least bit intimidated by his glare. “I’ve lost count of how many times you hit me since I was little. That kick you gave me when I was six was much worse than that slap.”
William’s expression slightly changed. When he saw the smile on Sierra’s face, he couldn’t sense any warmth in it, only the frigidity.
She coldly continued, “I’m only here to watch over him because of my mother. Otherwise, I wouldn’t even bother to look at him.”
“Look at the daughter you’ve raised. Is this even something a person would say? Xavier is her real brother, yet she said something like this!”
“William, please calm down. Cee’s foot is still injured, but she’s been here in the hospital all afternoon. How could she not care about Xavier? Vera anxiously
explained.
William coldly glanced at Sierra’s foot and merely snorted. He said, “She didn’t listen to me. I told her to stay home and wait to marry Benson, but she jumped out of the window, refusing to listen. She deserved it for getting hurt. She should have died from the fall!”
The heartless words pierced deep into Sierra’s heart. A trate of desolation flashed in her eyes, and she looked up at him while sneering. “Sorry, I didn’t meet your expectations by dying”
With that, she grabbed her bag and stood up, preparing to leave.
Suddenly, the door to the hospital room was forcefully pushed open, revealing Benson entering with a dark expression
When Sierra saw him, her body stiffened slightly.
The minute he saw Benson, William’s expression changed. He couldn’t have overheard everything they just said, could he?
He forced a smile as he stepped forward, speaking, “Benson, what brings you here?”
