Never Late, Never Away Chapter 2641

Drunk

“Come, Caspian! Here’s to you!” Jasper held up a beer and toasted.

“Come, Jasper! I toast you for your fighting spirit!”

As the two of them were savoring the moment, they seemed to totally forget the existence of Jessica.

“Now you can talk. Tell me why they fought,” Larry asked Jessica.

“Because of me.” Jessica gazed at him, with misery written all over her face.

“So Jasper likes you?” Larry got straight to the point.

Jessica did not answer but nodded her head.

“You are an attractive woman.” Larry let out a smile.

Larry’s sudden change of mood left Jessica befuddled for a while.

“Don’t worry. It’s all fine now. Look at them. I am sure they will become good friends in the future,” Larry said while eating from his plate.

It was beyond obvious that Caspian and Jasper were both similar loyal types with upholding justice. As the saying goes, the same feathers flock together.

“Come, one more toast!” Caspian shouted in excitement.

“Caspian, I didn’t expect you’re such a strong drinker!” Jasper patted Caspian’s arms strongly.

“Larry, do you think I’m a bad person?” Jessica uttered softly.

“Nope. Not at all.” Larry shook his head without hesitating.

In the end, as expected, Caspian and Jasper were drunk.

“Alright. You deal with him properly tomorrow. See you then.” Larry sent Caspian and Jessica back to their house and left at once.

Staring at Caspian, who was lying on the bed, a dark expression loomed over Jessica’s face. She was uncertain if she should be happy or sad at the moment.

The next morning, sunlight shone through the windows, filling the room with warmth. Caspian rolled over on the bed, trying to hug his woman, but only to notice no one beside him.

What? Where has she gone to? Caspian rubbed his eyes and scanned the room.

“Jessica?” he called out softly.

To his puzzlement, there was no trace of her anywhere.
