After divorce, Ex-wife Revealed Identities novel Chapter 777

Chapter 777

However, what they didn't expect was that Jasper also scored a goal, the ball went into the basket with a loud bang and landed on the ground.

The Club Ritter players instantly woke up. George, took the basketball and immediately launched an attack towards MI6 team.

Brayden sneered and wanted to intercept him.

"What? You want to shoot a three-pointer too?"

George waved his arm trying to push Brayden away but Brayden stepped back and let George fall short.

He shrugged his shoulders indicating that he wasn't going to stop him from shooting.

Just as the man was about to take three steps and shoot, Brayden forcefully bumped into him causing him to miss!

George didn't fall but was called for a foul by the referee.

Brayden walked past him triumphantly. "You messed with my brothers before so I'm messing with you now!"

George was so angry that he gritted his teeth. He protested while throwing down the ball, "Referee! He clearly bumped into me! Why am I being penalized?"

His teammates were also angrily shouting behind him while Club Ritter fans in the audience were beginning to get upset."Why? It's biased!"

"Why? It's not fair!"

Mrs. Ritter didn't understand basketball but she frowned at those fans and made a gesture for them to be quiet. The fans immediately quieted down and waited for the referee's decision.

The referee looked serious. "He did bump you but it wasn't intentional! And when you took your last step before shooting, you stepped wrong!"

Free throws weren't necessarily bad things because if someone had good skills then they could still score points through them. It all depended on how skilled one is at controlling their shots. The likes of Sylvia and Mrs. Wright watched calmly.

And it just so happened that George would be taking this free throw. He skillfully dribbled towards Brayden, flipping him off before casually tossing up another shot which went straight through.

The opposing team's fans began cheering again.

However... all five members of MI6 remained expressionless as though it had nothing whatsoever do with them.

George was instantly provoked by Franklin's expression.

Not knowing whether he felt too excited or angry, his hand shook visibly when taking his second shot, resulting in yet another missed opportunity after hitting against rim once more.

Mrs. Wright looked at the timer, feeling a bit impatient. "There are only eight minutes left in the game. If they take the lead and score again, we'll lose this game."

Upon hearing Mrs. Wright's words, Jenna's eyes began to well up with tears. "Come on guys, we can do this!"

On the other hand, Cody, who understood sports, remained calm and confident in these kids' abilities. "I had no idea they had such advanced basketball skills before; I underestimated them."

Jasper, Franklin and Brayden worked together on the court, scoring one after another and putting pressure on their opponents.

The opposing team clearly didn't expect that an amateur player from their team could almost match them in scoring.

After hearing their voices, Sylvia's gaze became sharp as she looked towards the ball handler.

The man held onto the ball for a while adjusting its angle as if he was worried it wouldn't go in.

He gritted his teeth before throwing it towards the basket; however, it spun around several times before falling off of it.

Free throw pressure was still significant because sometimes being too casual could cause you to miss more shots than usual when under stress.

At that moment when Franklin saw that ball fall down from above him, he seized his chance to strike!

He aimed for where Jasper was standing and passed him over with ease due to years of practice working together without any hesitation or delay whatsoever!

As soon as Jasper caught hold of that ball, there wasn't any time left, so he just went straight ahead towards Club Ritter's basket without stopping or slowing down even once until finally reaching underneath where someone tried blocking him but failed miserably thanks largely due to Franklin's quick thinking which allowed Jasper enough time to get past them all unscathed!

With only three minutes left on the clock, everyone watched anxiously as Franklin dribbled past Club Ritter's players, trying desperately not to let anyone steal away possession from him before finally arriving at three-point line outside of which lay nothing but darkness waiting patiently for its prey...

Franklin knew what needed doing now more than ever: shoot! He didn't hesitate even once taking aim carefully then releasing his shot into air hoping against hope that somehow someway this would be enough...

Two minutes thirty seconds later... the crowd erupted into cheers when they saw what happened next: The basketball flew through space landing perfectly inside netting, causing everyone present including Sylvia herself, who couldn't help but stand up clapping excitedly, while shouting out loud, "That was amazing!"

At the moment, when the ball hit the ground, none of the Club Ritter players reacted.

While they were still in shock, Jasper snatched the ball again and leaped up, bouncing towards the basket. He tightly gripped onto the rim and slammed it down for a powerful dunk!

The ball had been pushed into the basket again!

The members of Club Ritter were about to cry!

How could these guys be so strong?
