The three of them arrived at the entrance of the banquet. Before entering, Michael specifically told Cathy to speak less and avoid saying anything inappropriate inside. 

Cathy nodded with a smile, assuring him that she understood. 

Michael attended the banquet on behalf of the Shawn family. As soon as he entered, a group of people surrounded him to socialize. 

Cathy quickly found her close friends at the banquet and left Chloe on her own. 

Chloe was used to it and voluntarily moved to another side. 

She hoped no one would come to talk to her throughout the 

entire event. 

However, her wish was soon dashed as a rich lady approached her with a glass of wine, gracefully swaying towards her. 

Though she could not recall the name, Chloe found the face quite familiar–it was one of Cathy’s friends. 

“Oh, look who’s here, it is Chloe, Mr. Shawn’s wife. Did you come straight from the marketplace wearing that rag? This is not a marketplace, you know!”

She thought, “In front of so many people, a rich lady was talking about things between men and women in bed. 

Who was bringing down the level of the banquet?” 

Emily was filled with anger after being confronted by Chloe. 

However, if she really had an outburst, would that prove Chloe had just said was true that she was cursing like a fishwife in the 

street? 

She felt frustrated because she could not retort.
