Asher took a step back, as if protecting his food. “Aren’t you planning to eat outside? It won’t taste as good if it gets cold. We shouldn’t let it go to waste!”

“I don’t need to eat when I meet clients.” 

He turned around gracefully, took Chloe’s hand, and walked into 

his office. 

Lucy was left standing outside, her face displaying an expression of disbelief. 

Did Michael actually leave her here? 

Asher smiled and looked at Lucy, “Do you want to order takeout, or should we go together?” 

She clenched her fists, took several deep breaths, and then forced an awkward smile. 

“No, I’m on a diet at noon and don’t eat much.” 

Asher asked casually, knowing well that she wouldn’t eat it.
