Unable to refuse Rick’s kindness, Chloe finally had no choice but to get in the car. 

Like a true gentleman, he got out of the car, closed all the doors and windows for her, then turned away without glancing back. 

He didn’t turn around until she changed her clothes and knocked on the car window. 

After he sat back in the car, Chloe stared at him and asked, “Why are there women’s clothes in your car?” 

Thinking that she had misunderstood, Rick immediately explained, “They belong to my sister. She bought them last time but didn’t bring them home, so the clothes have been in my car.” 

His sister? 

Chloe had the impression that Rick did have a younger sister who was not related to him by blood. 

Chloe had met her once when working at Paramount Airlines. She was a very vivacious girl. 

“It’s inappropriate for me to wear her clothes. I should go to the mall and buy her new attire!”

It dawned on Chloe that she had also been wearing dirty clothes. at their last encounter. 

Twice in a row, he appeared before her in time when she was disheveled. 

“Hurry inside. Next time you’re feeling down, just ask me to take you to the mountaintop to watch the sunset.” 

Upon hearing Rick’s suggestion, Chloe finally laughed out loud. 

After waving goodbye to him outside the car, she watched him drive away. 

Back in Lotus Manor, she assumed Michael should still be in the hospital with Lucy. However, to her surprise, he was in the living room. 

Seeing her come in, he sneered, “Who sent you back?”
