Owen looked at him deeply, with complicated emotions in his 

eyes.

“Michael, I always thought we would be best friends for life, but now it seems that I was naive. It is disappointing to see you treat me and Lucy this way for someone unworthy.” 

After saying that, he walked away without looking back.

Wendy sounded happy, but Chloe was tensed up. 

“Madeline?”
