Chloe hesitated, “He… probably hasn’t bought his return ticket yet.” 

Admas, hearing this, understood they had likely quarreled again. 

Otherwise, why wouldn’t they have come back together? 

“Grandpa, I’m a bit tired.” 

Chloe added, offering no further details. 

Admas sighed and didn’t press any more questions. 

Later, Chloe lay in the bath, the warm water enveloping her, making her feel drowsy. 

It was already ten o’clock at night. 

After not sleeping on the plane, she was truly exhausted. 

After her bath, a servant knocked and entered, pushing a dining cart 

“Mrs. Shawn, the master asked me to bring this up. He said you didn’t eat on the plane, so you must be hungry.” 

Chloe hadn’t eaten much on the flight due to an upset stomach. 

She only nibbled on some fruit before dozing off. 

The next morning, she awoke to the sensation of the bed sinking beside her. 

Opening her eyes, she saw Michael lying next to her in pajamas. 

She frowned. This guy really had no sense of boundaries. 

Michael had just closed his eyes when he noticed Chloe sitting up and getting out of bed. 

“Aren’t you going to sleep more?” he asked. 

Chloe responded with a soft hun, then went to brush her teeth, wash her face, and get dressed. 

By the time she went downstairs, she realized it was already noon. 

She went downstairs and the servant had prepared lunch. 

Admas was beckoning her to join him. “Chloe, come! Michael said not to wait for him, let’s eat.” 

Chloe sat down and ladled herself some soup. 

“Chloe, Michael came back today and told me what happened in Mythica. I gave him a good talking to.” 

Chloe was curious about what Michael had shared. 

Did he tell Admas he took Lucy with him? 

If he did, he was braver than she thought. 

She mulled it over and said, “Grandpa, I’ve found a new job. It’s a bit far from Lotus Manor, so I want to move to the city center for easier commuting” 

Admas‘ smile faltered at the news

“Chloe, where’s this job you found?” he asked. 

Chloe replied honestly, “At Bright Moon International.” 

Her answer surprised him, his eyes lighting up. 

He hadn’t expected Chloe to land a position at Bright Moon International. 

Meanwhile, Michael had just arrived home. 

As he walked in, he overheard Chloe telling Admas she wanted to move out 

He pursed his lips and interrupted 

“Grandpa, since Chloe’s moving out, why don’t we go back to Lotus Manor? Bright Moon International is much closer to Lotus Manor.” 

“You rascal, make sure you don’t mistreat Chloe again if you take her back there!” Admas warned. 

He had kept them at Lotus Manor to keep an eye on his not–so–bright grandson, fearing Michael would mistreat Chloe. 

Now that they wanted to leave, Adimas was afraid that Michael would bully Chloe again.
