Chapter 393 Father and Son

"Huh?"

"Ever since she unilaterally broke up with me, she's been avoiding me. The Opal Group's conference was originally going to be held at sea, but she couldn't swim, so I moved it to a lawn. Yet, she still didn't show up.

"I called her, but she blocked me. So, I used a different number to call. As soon as she heard my voice, she hung up. I went to Glory Villa to find her, but she wouldn't see me. So, I had to trouble you, Ms. Nelson."

Chloe really couldn't believe that Wesley, with his dominant and cold demeanor, was actually a romantic.

It took her a while to process this and come back to her senses.

"Candy wants to break up with you, and I'm sure there's a reason. As her friend, I can't make decisions for her. If she doesn't want to see you, I can do nothing."

Although she didn't know what had happened between them. As Candy's friend, she wouldn't betray her.

Wesley took a deep breath and said, "I understand, Ms. Nelson. I understand your concerns. Let me rephrase. Please tell her that I want to talk. Even if we're breaking up, I deserve a proper reason so I can have some closure."

Seeing Wesley so humble, Chloe really wasn't used to it.

"I understand. I'll pass on the message, but I can't guarantee that she'll want to see you."

"Of course, thank you!"

Wesley stood up and gave Chloe a slight bow, showing his gentlemanly demeanor.

Chloe didn't even go to the hospital anymore. She took a cab directly to Glory Villa to find Candy.

Candy opened the door for Chloe in her pajamas.

Seeing her angrily sitting on the couch, with her legs crossed and arms folded, looking like she was interrogating a criminal, Candy asked in confusion, "What's up with you? Did Michael make you angry again?"

She wondered if this couple could ever get some peace.

Chloe glanced at her. "Candy, you'd better come clean. What's going on between you and Wesley?"

Candy had been yawning. When she heard Chloe's words, she swallowed her yawn and choked.

"Did that jerk come to you? I knew it! He must be thinking of ways to mess with me. Damn it, this is outrageous!"

Candy was furious and went on a rant about Wesley.
