They had not seen the person in real life, only in photos, so they were a bit uncertain.
After all, photos could be edited.
"Seems to be."
After hearing Wesley's words, Candy quickly removed her outer jacket to reveal her outfit underneath.
"When did you change it?"
Her outfit covered in logos was quite a bold choice.
"Do not be clueless. This is how nouveau riche dress."
Inside the beauty salon, all the clients were wealthy socialites. If she walked in dressed in something more demure, she would not catch the woman's attention or be able to gather any useful information.
She tossed her jacket at Wesley. "Wait for me here!"
Candy was greeted as soon as she walked into the beauty salon. Speaking fluent Aikopnish, she noticed the woman who was now changing clothes and following a clerk to the upstairs.
"I have plenty of money. My husband recently discovered a new oilfield. Give me the best treatments you have!"
Candy's voice was loud enough for almost everyone in the salon to hear, including the woman who headed upstairs.
"Sorry, ma'am, but we are fully booked today. You will need to wait."
"What? You want me to wait? Do you not have any spare treatment rooms? Considering your professionalism, I could share a room with someone else."
The clerk seemed troubled. After all, everyone in the salon was wealthy.
"Here is the deal. Whoever is willing to share a room with me will get a hundred thousand dollars."
A hundred thousand dollars was indeed a substantial amount, but everyone in the room could afford it—except for one person.
Just as the clerk was about to ask Candy to lower her voice, the woman on the stairs spoke up, "She can share a room with me."
Candy immediately smiled and walked over. "Oh, you are such a kind person!"
She followed the woman upstairs, chatting amiably, "I am Ella. What is your name?"
"Just call me Lydia."
Lydia gave a slight, somewhat aloof smile, but Candy did not mind.
Once inside the room, Candy used her silver tongue to discuss everything from the local climate to luxury goods, and then the importance of self-care for women.
She completely overwhelmed Lydia with her chatter.
While undergoing her treatment, Candy said, "You know, finding a wealthy husband can save you from a lifetime of hard work."
Lydia's eyes lit up, as if she had found a kindred spirit, though she still seemed cautious. "It is better to rely on yourself..."
"You are young and beautiful now, so relying on your looks is still relying on yourself. Let me tell you, once you have a child and marry someone significantly older, you will be in luck. If that old man does not have kids, you are even luckier than winning the lottery."
