Chloe just sat there, munching on fruit. She didn’t care about their conversation. 

Cathy felt a tinge of boredom and noticed a box on the table.

“Wow, this necklace is gorgeous! It’s a gift from Michael, right? How did it end up here? What if someone steals it?” 

Cathy hinted that Chloe might swipe the necklace. 

They thought Chloe was broke and might turn to stealing. 

“Ms. Swift, that’s a gift from Mr. Shawn to Mrs. Shawn.” 

A servant stood by, looking out for Chloe. 

Cathy scoffed, “No way that’s for her! She doesn’t deserve something this nice. I heard Lucy’s been collecting gems, so it’s definitely Michael buying it for Lucy.”

Michael strolled in with an air of elegance, carrying the chill from outside. He looked distant and aloof. 

Chloe shivered. 

She had no clue why he was back now.

Seeing Michael, Cathy lit up with joy and excitedly held up her necklace. 

“Michael, Chloe says you gave her this necklace. But I heard Lucy’s been collecting gems lately. So, who did you really give it to?”
