Felix did not say much, keeping certain matters brief. Under normal circumstances, Joshua would not pretend to have amnesia or act like a child. Now that he truly had amnesia and his mental state regressed, he would surely pretend once he gradually 

recovered. 

After all, like father, like son, Felix believed he understood his own son. 

After their conversation, Felix left the Neal Group, wearing his suit jacket, and headed home to report the situation. Of course, he gave the slightly modified version with some lies added. 

After hanging up the phone, Cynthia called Yoel to tell him she would bring Joshua over. Once the call ended, she made preparations and took Joshua out. 

Joshua felt a bit uneasy sitting in the car. 

He did not know where Cynthia was taking him and wondered if she no longer wanted him. 

“Joshua,” Cynthia called out to him. 

Joshua glanced at her, replying obediently, “What is it?” 

Cynthia decided to tell him in advance and gauge his reaction. “I’m taking you to meet someone. Let’s see if you get along with him. If you do…” 

At this point, Cynthia paused, trying to figure out how to phrase her words to make them acceptable for a five–year–old. 

However, before she could come up with the right words, Joshua asked sadly, “You don’t want me anymore?” 

“No, that’s not it,” Cynthia denied. 

Joshua pressed his thin lips together, feeling uneasy and desolated 

He could not make Cynthia accept him after all. 

Cynthia noticed his change in mood and, considering his mental state, reassured him, “I just want you to see if you prefer bring with someone else. If you like him when you meet him, I can.” 

“I only like being with you. I don’t like anyone else,” Joshua interrupted before she could finish her sentence. 

He had not been happy at all when he was with Sean before, and he did not want to see Sean again. 

Cynthia did not respond, assuming that Joshua’s reluctance was because he did not know many people. Before meeting her, he had only interacted with Sean for an extended period of time, and Sean was the doctor who treated and examined him. 

Since children might instinctively resist doctors who treat them for a long time, Cynthia speculated that Joshua might feel the
