Chapter 126
Jonas’s death was a thorn in Samuel’s heart. For days afterward, he kept fixating on it, showing up at the hospital to make a scene. On this particular: day, while he was causing trouble, he happened to run into the same doctor he’d clashed with.
“You again!” The doctor shot Samuel a look full of disdain
The moment Samuel saw him, his eyes went cold. He charged forward and threw a punch straight at the doctor’s face. You bastards killed my darl

But before his fist could land, a few bodyguards in black suits stepped in and pinned him down.
“If your dad was murdered, why don’t you go to the cops?” the doctor sneered, backing away a few steps and signaling his men to hold Samirl

Samuel was slammed onto the table, fists clenched tight, saying nothing. If he had any proof, he would’ve gone to he didn’t have a shred of evidence

He was on the verge of breaking down. Suddenly, he managed to struggle free from their grip, then just squatted on the floor in a daze, muttering over and over. “My dad was so old. Why did you have to do this to him?”
He didn’t expect an answer, but to his surprise, the doctor crouched down and looked him in the eye. Michael’s lips curled. “Because you’re weak.” His voice was low, bun every word was clear as day to Samuel.
Samuel stared at him in shock, struggling to get the words out. “What did you just say?”
Michael smirked, then suddenly laughed. “You’re so naive. I wonder how you ever built up Spence Group. Listen, Samuel–this world gets rid of the weak first. No money, no power, that’s the biggest crime. So really, the one who killed Jonas was you.”
“So you’re admitting your hospital killed my dad, aren’t you? Samuel’s eyes were bloodshot as he looked at Michael, forcing the words out.
Michael let out a low chuckle, not even bothering to deny it. “And if we did, so what?” His eyes were fixed on Samuel’s suit pocket.

As soon as he finished speaking, he shot a look at his men. The bodyguards immediately pinned Samuel down and yanked a pocket, handing it over to Michael
“Give it back!” Samuel’s expression changed, cursing in anger. He tried to snatch it back, but the bodyguards held him tight, leaving him helpless as they handed the recorder to Michael
“In your dreams,” Michael said with a grin. He casually tossed the recorder to the floor, then stomped on it hard, grinding it underfoot until it was smashed to pieces “Mr. Spence, I’ve got other things to do, so I won’t be keeping you company.”
Michael gave his men a look. “Take good care of him, he ordered, then turned and walked out
That night, Samuel hobbled out of the hospital, his face bruised and swollen. He poured all his frustration into a rant and blasted it across every social media platform. With people sharing it, it didn’t take long before Jonas’s scandal was all over the Internet.
As the negative buzz about the hospital kept snowballing, Frank finally lost it. He went after Samuel with everything he had–Raymond and Stella were kicked out of school, and Charles’s brand–new job was gone.
That day, when Samuel got home, Norah asked for a divorce. “Samuel, you promised me I’d never have to struggle. Not only did you break your word, but now, thanks to you pissing off the wrong people, Stella can’t even go to school.”
Norah sat on the sofa with her arms crossed, nothing like the gentle woman she used to be. Her eyes were cold, her words sharp. There wasn’t a trace of the carefulness she price showed Samuel.
Samuel stared blankly at the woman he’d spent over a decade with, his eyes dull and lifeless. After a long silence, he just nodded. “Alright.” Other than a bit of surprise, he didn’t feel much of anything anymore
Norah hadn’t expected him to give in so easily, and she let out a sigh of relief before continung. “Since you agree, you can keep one house. The rest of the properties and all the savings are mine”
“Fine,” Samuel said, not arguing. Then he looked at Stella. “I only have one condition. Stella stays with me.” She was his daughter. There was no way
