Chapter 244 Looking Back
The sentence below was attached, “Beware of Janice. If you want to find the truth, visit the First Mansion in Imperial City.”
Sienna was puzzled. Who was this person, and why did she have her contact information? How did she know Janice?
And what did Janice do outside her father’s hospital room?
Sienna didn’t dare to think further, but she knew one thing for sure, her father’s death was definitely connected to Janice.
The person who sent the anonymous letter wasn’t malicious towards her at the moment, but they were indeed not simple.
Even if Sienna left Imperial City, Janice wouldn’t let her off the hook.
Sienna clenched her fist, unable to hide her anger in her chest.
“Janice, I will uncover the truth and won’t let you get away.”
Early the following day, Sienna gathered herself and arrived at the company before the morning
rush hour to find Mr. Gunter.
“Mr. Gunter, does the branch project you mentioned before still hold weight?”
Sienna’s face was cold.
Underneath, anger and resentment burned.
Seeing her, Mr. Gunter quickly pulled out the plan. “Yes, it still holds weight. You’re here today…”
Sienna took the proposal with a blank expression. “Alright, tomorrow I will leave for Imperial City.
However, I have a condition and would like to hear your opinion, Mr. Gunter.”
Mr. Gunter, taken aback by Sienna’s swift response, had a grin that reached his ears.
“Tell me, as long as it doesn’t violate company regulations, I will agree to it all.”
Sienna’s face changed into ambiguity.
“I will take full responsibility for all the cooperative partners and negotiation matters in Imperial City. However, regarding the transaction amount, I will report every cent to headquarters.”
“No problem. Since I entrusted you with the position of branch director, you will have full control,”
Mr. Gunter affirmed.
Get Borns
Sienna nodded. “Then I have no issues. I will leave for Imperial City tomorrow.”*
For some unknown reason, her calm voice held a tinge of indescribable melancholy.
Suddenly, a cool breeze blew through the office, sending shivers down their spines.
Observing Sienna’s unusual behavior, Mr. Gunter couldn’t help but stop her. “Actually, you don’t
have to rush like this. There’s still time.”
Sienna didn’t reply. She just nodded and left, closing the door behind her.
Mr. Gunter was left with a puzzled expression. “Her attitude changed so quickly…”
After a year, Sienna boarded the familiar flight again, heading towards the land where she had once
grown up.
