Chapter 254 A Desperate Gamble
Janice hurriedly left the building and immediately called the media.
After all, if Adrian found out that Sienna had returned, all the effort she had put in over the years would be in vain.
She had to prevent Adrian from discovering Sienna’s presence.
“This is Janice. I want to ask if the broadcast of the Golden Night will be available on all platforms?”
A polite female voice came from the other end, “Ah, Ms. Potter. This event will not only be livestreamed on all platforms but also broadcast in collaboration with major companies. It will even reach users overseas.
“So, Ms. Potter, you don’t have to worry. Moreover, as a joint venture with the Potter
Group, we will ensure effective promotion.”
The staff on the other end thought Janice was concerned about meeting the
promotional targets of the Potter Group, hence the call.
But Janice’s thoughts were exactly the opposite.
She couldn’t hide her anger, yet she didn’t know how to stop it.
After all, the Potter Group wasn’t the sole investor in this live broadcast.
Many other businesses were eyeing this lucrative opportunity, hoping to attract
investors.
Taking it down would be impossible. Janice hesitated for a moment, realizing she had to
come up with another plan.
Janice hung up the phone, and an idea rushed into her mind. She immediately got into her car and drove to a private hospital in the outskirts.
Disguising herself, she entered the hospital and made her way directly to the basement.
Carefully stepping down two flights of stairs, walking forward in high heels.
Accompanied by the crisp sound of her footsteps, she arrived at a closed room emitting
a red light.
Occasionally, a pungent odor wafted from inside the room.
A large screen was mounted on the wall.
Various medical equipment and tools were placed on transparent glass, creating a stark contrast to the bright and open hospital lobby.
Janice seemed familiar with it as she walked straight into the innermost room.
The scene revealed a man wearing a white lab coat, leaning back in his chair, with a cigar in his hand.
“Do you have any more medicine? I need it urgently!”
Janice didn’t exchange pleasantries with him and got straight to the point.
As the man heard Janice’s voice, he slowly exhaled a smoke ring and opened his eyes.
“Well, isn’t this Ms. Potter? Looks like you didn’t succeed last time.”
Upon hearing this, Janice grew even angrier and walked up to him, slamming the table.
forcefully.
“Just focus on taking the money. It’s best if you keep your mouth shut. Otherwise, I might just have this hospital demolished.”
Janice showed no fear as she confronted the man, her words dripping with sarcasm.
