Alpha Adryan novel Chapter 19

Waking up to an empty bed after giving yourself to your mate wasn't how she pictured it to play out. But yet there she was, as she woke up from her sleep she still felt exhausted after last night's events.

Her cheeks redden as she recollected the events of the previous night. She runs her hands along the other side of the bed, hoping to find Adryan's warm body but only comes up empty, when she feels the emptiness beside her where she was sure he had been yesterday.

The essence of their actions still lingered in the air around her room, she felt cheap and embarassed at herself for throwing herself at him so pathetically. She felt used, and slowly the anger inside her started to stir. She hated him for making her feeling these unknown emotions. She wished she could go back and time and undo her actions from last night.

She smelt the metallic scent of blood. Lovering her hands to her nether regions she feels wetness around her core and on the bedsheets she previously laid on. She sighs as her shoulders dropped with exhaustion.

2 month later 

"Hello, Jade? Are you there?— Earth to Jade"  Violets voice snaps Jade out of her thoughts.

"huh?" Jade asks with confusion. She didn't hear what Violet was talking about. Nowadays, all she could think about was that night. No matter how hard she tried not to go back to those memories she couldn't help herself.

Jade and Violet were sat in Jade's room talking about random things.

"Are you okay, Jade? You seem to be lost in a daze? —" Violet questions her. Worry seeping into her voice as she looked at Jade. Something seemed to change within her for the past few weeks. Her normal tan complexion looked pale now, with dark circles under her eyes.

"I'm okay Violet, it's just that I haven't been getting enough sleep —" the feeling of bile rising hits her, she cups her mouth as her eyes widens. Running towards the direction of the bathroom, she empties the content of her stomach into the toilet. She could feel Violet standing behind her, holding back Jade's long hair away from her face.

She stands up on her feet after she was sure that she wouldn't feel like emptying the contents of her stomach again. She rests her back onto the wall behind her.

For the past week, she had been vomiting for almost every morning and honestly speaking, she felt tired and exhausted. Jade had been hauled up in her room ever since and the only person she ever socialized with was Violet.

Violets brows furrow in confusion. She couldn't pinpoint what was wrong with Jade, untill a throught entered her mind. Was she — was she pregnant?! Now that she thought about it, Jade's scent had changed over the past few weeks. It was faint but if you were a werewolf of a higher rank you'd easily picked upon the scent.

"Jade, by any chance could you be uh — pregnant?" Violets question made Jade still. Jade had thought about the same a few times but she didn't want to believe it yet. She wasn't stupid to believe it was some bug or food poisoning. She was a werewolf. Werewolves don't get sick easily, they have strong immune system and Jade had never ever been sick before in her life.

"I – I don't, maybe" Jade replies back in a small voice.

"Did you have sex?!" Violet asks her making Jade's cheek turn red.

"Yes"

"Oh" Violets eyes widen with Jade's answer. She was sure it was Adryan. Jade didn't look like the type to give herself to anyone other than her mate.

Violet guides Jade towards the sink, helps her wash and clean her mouth with some mouth wash. She asks Jade to sit on the counter beside the sink while she went and picked up something.

"Where are you going?" Jade asks her with confusion.

"I'm going to pick up some pregnancy tests from the pack clinic, and don't worry I wouldn't tell a soul about this" she adds after knowing what was circulating Jade's mind. After knowing each other for a few months, Violet was able to pick up on certain things even without Jade having to voice it out.

Jade nods her head, thankful for Violet's help.

Jade waits for Violet to comeback, meanwhile her mind wanders back to the question that circled her mind — what if she was actually pregnant? what was she supposed to do?!.

Her trail of thought come to a halt when she feels Violet entering the bathroom once again, only this time with the pregnancy tests clutched in her hands.

"Here" Violet places the test in her Jade's hands. Explaining to her that she just has to pee on the stick and wait for about three minutes for it to reveal the test results.
