Alpha Twins And Their Hybrid Mate novel Chapter 13

I took a couple of deep breaths to steady myself so I wouldn’t panic or anything in front of Leia. I couldn’t do that. I wasn’t going to give over that power to her.

Ava was scratching around in my head, she was starting to give me a headache. I didn’t know what was wrong with her. She was being really out of control right now. And for a simple voice in my head, she was really out of control.

I turned my head away for a moment while I tried to tell Ava to calm down.

And when I was able to I looked back at Leia I simply let her know that I hadn’t done anything to hurt her. So I stepped around them and headed to the cafeteria.

Of course that wasn’t going to work. They followed me and saw that I was getting something to eat before classes started.

I took the food to a table and Leia was watching with her friends and the smile that crept on her face made it seem like she just hit the jackpot.

She followed me over to my table and I tried to ignore her, but of course, that was impossible. No one could ignore Leia. She always made sure of that. And she was damn good at it. She obviously loved the attention and she was going to make sure that she always had it. From everyone that she was demanding it from.

I looked around the cafeteria and there were several other students in there, but they weren’t doing anything. They were just hanging out together and also getting something to eat.

I wasn’t the only one that came here to eat breakfast, so why was she going to make such a big deal about me doing it.

She sat on the edge of the table watching me, and she was making me increasingly nervous.

“What’s the matter? You’re too poor to buy food for home? Why the hell would the twins want to be with someone as pathetic as you?” Leia asked.

“Not to mention the new clothes. Haven’t we seen them before?” Ingrid asked.

“Oh yeah. Wendy’s old clothes. You’re taking hand me downs from people that you don’t even know now. That’s a new low. Even for you.” Leia said. I wondered how she would know what was low for me. She didn’t even know me or attempt to get to know me. Everything she said was always based on assumptions.

“Would you please just get the hell away from me. I haven’t done anything to you.” I said, trying to keep my voice steady, but there was a slight shudder to it. And Leia definitely picked up on it.

“What’s wrong Ella? Am I making you nervous?” She asked, scooting a little closer to me while she was still sitting on the table.

I looked up and Ingrid and Izzy were both just standing there with their arms crossed, smiles on their faces and they were thoroughly enjoying the show.

I didn’t respond to Leia when she asked me that, so I tried to go back to start eating but Leia pulled the tray closer to her so I couldn’t. I dropped the spoon on the table and didn’t move after that.

I sat there looking at the table. Trying to avoid eye contact with her but that was definitely harder said than done.

She basically insisted on having people’s attention and she used her finger to place it under my chin and force me to look up at her.

“You are no more than white trash around here. And the sooner you realize that, the better off we all will be.” Leia said.

“And if you put as much time into attending charm school as you do bullying me, then maybe the twins might have an interest in you.” I said, without hesitation and I didn’t look away either.

Where the hell did that come from? What was happening with me? I never stood up for myself. Not like this. Ava, was that you?

Leia’s face started changing color with her mood, and she was definitely angry. We had gotten the attention of a lot of people that were in the cafeteria now and I wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

I had a feeling that I was on my own here. No one would go up against Leia. She was basically the Queen bee around here and people knew what it meant to be on her bad side. So they either sucked up to her or they stayed right the hell away from her.

Unfortunately, she sought me out. And that was now my problem.

Even Ingrid and Izzy took a step back after I said that to Leia and she stood up from the table where she had been sitting.

She grabbed the bowl of hot pumpkin soup that I had on my tray and she threw it at me.

I saw it coming and I was able to duck out of the way, landing on the floor with my chair.

I missed most of it but she managed to get my neck.

I put my hand over it as it was scolding hot and I was in immense pain.
