Alpha Twins And Their Hybrid Mate novel Chapter 21

I stood there frozen as I stared in horror at two enormous black wolves that had emerged from the forest.

I was sure that I was done for. I was dead. This is how I was going to die.

But when the wolves didn’t attack, I slowly started breathing again.

They walked closer to me. Really slow, like they were trying not to scare me or something.

They came right up in front of me and the one on the right grabbed the dress out of my hands and started running around and jumping around playfully with it.

I stood there in disbelief for a moment, watching this huge beast that could kill me in seconds just playing like a little puppy dog.

I looked at the other one and he sat on his haunches with his tongue hanging out. Also looking like he wasn’t going to attack me.

I actually started to relax a little and I saw a log that was a few feet away.

I walked over to it slowly while they watched me and I sat down on the log, realizing that I was still in my underwear. So I looked at the other wolf.

“Can I have my uniform back please?” I asked. But he was sitting on the other side of the clearing wagging its tail.

The other one came and sat right next to me and rested its head on the log that I was sitting on. So I slowly reached over and patted it on its nose.

The other one walked over with my dress in it’s mouth but when I tried to grab my dress it jumped backwards again. Not letting me take it.

“You must be the cheeky one.” I said, looking at him.

“I can’t believe I’m sitting in the forest, half naked taking to a couple of fucking wolves.” I said, chuckling at the absurdity of the situation. But the one next to me moved closer and nudged me with its nose.

“You are a beauty, aren’t you? How did you two get to be so damn big? Are all you Alaskan wolves this big?” I asked, patting it on its nose and then its head. He didn’t seem to mind.

“Maybe you two are the best ones I can talk to.” I said letting out a sigh, listening to the wind pick up and whistle through the trees.

“I don’t have anyone else at the moment. I wish I could be free like a wolf. I bet it’s great. Running around the forest, not having to worry about being bullied at school or having that bully attack you whenever she sees you. I wish Leia would fuck off. She thinks I want her boyfriend.

Everyone in this town hates me. I’m an outsider. I just moved here a couple of months ago and this isn’t a good place to be an outsider. I got invited to a party last night where that same bitch tried to arrange for some guy to rape me. I think he spiked my drink. And to make things even worse, he told me that these guys that I know, Tristan and Nathan, were in on it. Leia wanted me to know that they were in on it. I thought they liked me. I was an idiot.” I said. And both of the wolves growled softly. It didn’t scare me, but it did get my attention. I wondered if they could actually understand me since they both reacted at the same time to what I just said. I must really be going crazy.

“Shush. It’s alright. But then I had to go home to a mother who only keeps me around because she receives monthly checks for keeping me. Which, by the way, if she doesn’t get a lost check by tomorrow she’s kicking me out. And I know that she will. She’s been wanting to get rid of me for ages.” I explained.

I looked down at the wolves and realized that they were staring at me, intently. Almost like they were taking in everything I was saying. But that was ridiculous. They were wolves. They couldn’t understand what I was saying.

I have to admit though. They didn’t really act like normal wolves.

I saw the first wolf sitting right in front of me with my dress still in its mouth, so I quickly grabbed my dress off of it and it jumped up wagging its tail and then jumped on me, pushing me backwards off of the tree log.

It didn’t hurt me, it was on top of me and felt really heavy and I was sure that I had a couple of splinters in my legs, but I started laughing, making it known that I was having trouble breathing.

So it jumped off of me and I was able to get up and I put my dress on, but it was covered in wolf slobber.

I ran around the tree branch and into the clearing, with both of the wolves jumping up and down and running circles around me.

I finally collapsed in the middle of the clearing, staring up at the sky and both of the wolves laid down next to me, one on either side.

I couldn’t believe how much joy I felt right now. How I actually felt alive again, right now. And it was because of these two animals.

Ava was jumping around in my head, she wasn’t saying anything but I could feel her sense of enjoyment as well. How much she was loving this as well. Where we could actually be free and run around and laugh. I don’t really remember the last time I laughed. It’s been a long time since I laughed like this. With pure heart and not just because it was expected of me.

“Can I tell you two a secret? I’ve saved enough money from my job that I can finally afford to get back to Seattle.” I said, noticing that they both put their heads up and looked at me like they understood me.

I looked at them strangely when they did that, but I assumed that it was just a reflex because I had started talking to them.

“I know it sucks. I finally found two friends in this town and now I’m leaving. But I have to. I’m trapped here. I can’t live in that house any longer.” I admitted.

They both started crawling up closer to my face. They had sad looks on their faces. Real puppy dog looks on their faces. So I started patting them both.

“And after just one afternoon with you two, I think I’m going to miss you guys most of all.” I smiled at them.
